I know I have it set up correctly because on my iPhone it connects wonderfully, so that eliminates any network issues or configuration issues in iTunes. My wife and I each have an ipad and we share the same iMac. We each have our own user account on the iMac. She syncs with her account, and I sync with mine. This works fine in general, but we store all our photos within iPhoto on my account. She is therefore unable to sync the photos to her ipad. My home library shows up on my ipad in Videos and all of the files show BUT all of the file names are mixed up and it shows only the first couple of rows correctly. By using the home sharing feature I have shared ipad applications between my ipad and my wifess ipad. The first app was a purchased app and it works fine on both Ipads. I was looking forward to the home sharing functionality in 4.3, but I think it is a big disappointment. The interface on the ipad is very slow, mainly because it takes ages to get the artwork (and there doesnt seem to be any caching, like on the Apple TV). Also the TV shows seem randomly ordered. While watching video using home sharing wifi connection suddenly drops and switches to 3g. As you know, home sharing only works on wifi so video disappears. As soon as I back out of home sharing the wifi signal pops up immediately. home sharing does not offer to resume playback so you have to manually find where you left off. I can see shared movie, music in iPod app or Video app. But I can see the shared photos in Photo app or iPod app. I enabled the sharing my whole libaray in preference and also enabled share photos in Advance->Choose Photos To Share. Hello! I am not able to play any movies on my ipad through home sharing that I bought in the iTunes store. Movies encoded with Handbrake work, so why not ones bought in the store?
