how to remove link from bookmarks bar on ipad

I own a Mac, and I like how easy it is to rename and position bookmarks on the bookmarks bar in safari. Is there a way to do this with my ipad? Id like to group similar bookmarks together and even group them under individual headers if possible. I.E. Have ipad discussions, MacBook air Discussions, Apple, OnetoOne all grouped together and available after pressing a single title in bookmarks named Apple like I have on my Mac...Sly Apple Macbook Air 13" iOS 4 iPhone 4, ipad 16GB wifi...|arranging-bookmarks-bookmarks-bar-ipad

Since Ive loaded photographs on my ipad, a new icon that takes you directly to Photos has appeared on the unlock screen, the first one that you see when you turn the device on. It does so bypassing password screen, which defeats the purpose of having the password in the first place. Besides the obvious question about who was the genius who came up with this annoying and totally unnecessary feature, can it be disabled and the Photos icon removed from the unlock screen? When Im reading, I dont necessarily want to see the status bar with the time and battery %. This is something I really like about the kindle app is that when youre reading, you dont see it -- is this an option that Im just not seeing with iBooks? Thanks! Trying to get an ipad to use Airprint to print of HP Photosmart B110 printer through a D-link 2740R wifi router. Printer works fine from computer although is not visible using Bonjour.
