Every time i connect my i pad to my desktop to update or sync the computer loses the wireless connection and i have to restart. I have FiOS and use their router for WiFi. It works perfectly with my iTouch and my work laptop (non-Mac), but my ipad constantly drops its connection. Once drops, it takes multiple retries to connect, and half the time asks me to re-enter my WiFi password. Its so frustrating, Ive stopped using the ipad, which I love otherwise. My ipad (iOS3.2.2) sometimes and randomly drops my wifi connection. My iPhone 3GS (iOS 4.1) and Apple TV (silver one with 160GB hard disk) are both fine and dont drop the connection. I use two powerful Netgear WAPs the 330 and the 350. They are both setup identically with the same SSID and WPA2 code. Every now-and-then Im using my ipad and the app tells me that it needs an Internet connection so I have to re connect it to the network. Ive saved the WPA2 code in notes so that i can just c&p it. There is something wrong with the wifi of my ipad . It drops the signal and the only way for me to get it back is to swich off the wifi then switch it back on. I have to do this about 3 times an hour. My touch will be running on the same hotspot and does not lose the signal . This is an ongoing problem i have had since i bought my ipad. Hi there, I have had my ipad for a while now. When I use the wifi Internet. I find that it drops out every now and again.On safari.. The bar will start to animate across like its loading then freeze.Eventually after about five minutes it will come back, but it is driving me up the wall.I end up using my iPhone instead. I recently took ownership of a 32GB 3G ipad and got the micro sim from Vodacom, my cellular service provider, and my 3G works well apart from the 3G connection dropping after a few minutes for no apparent reason. While watching video using Home Sharing wifi connection suddenly drops and switches to 3g. As you know, home sharing only works on wifi so video disappears. As soon as I back out of Home Sharing the wifi signal pops up immediately. Home Sharing does not offer to resume playback so you have to manually find where you left off. I gave the wireless ipad as a gift and bought the Airport Express to go with it. AT&T sent out a gateway for me to install and after an hour on the phone with technical support finally got wireless internet access and was told I didnt need the Airport.
