Hi all,Ive just switched to itunes 10 and tried to search for updates for my lovely ipad 32GB+3G (without using a micro sim). But itunes 10 aborts my update reques with a errorcode 1631. The message is like that: itunes was unable to search for updates for the network operator settings for your iphone.itunes 9 was working fine. Whenever I synchronize my ipad with my MacBookPro, I receive the following message: itunes could not check for an update to the carrier settings for your ipad. An unknown error occurred. (1631). This has only begun recently - perhaps after getting a Snow Leopard update (?) but there does not seem to be any problem with using the ipad or with the information transferred. I use WiFi from home and 3G on the road - both work well. I do not receive a similar message with an iPod.Any clues about the 1631 message? As I was synchronising my ipad, I was asked to download new carrier settings. After these were downloaded on my ipad all of a sudden my ipad said that I have no data subscription (which worked perfectly before this, because I have a mobile data subscription from Vodafone).I did reset all settings, but still I cannot get on the internet or download new e-mails. I switched my ipad briefly to German. Since switching back to English, however (several times, including quitting mail completely, and rebooting the ipad etc.) Mail still uses the German dictionary for spell-check and auto-correct (the ipad is otherwise in English mode).Anyone else noticed this problem, or found a solution.Matt. Hello...I am hoping someone can help me with a rather simple question. I tried to sync my ipad with itunes this morning and was prompt a message saying that itunes cannot read the content of my ipad and wanted me to restore my ipad to original factory settings.If restoring my ipad to the original settings will it wipe out all my application purchases from the App store? I have followed numerous internet forum posts informing me of the correct imap settings for my sky email. I have been sending and receiving emails for ages with no problems. I just recently bought a 32 gb, 3g ipad. Bought both Pages and Drawing Pad and see that there are new updates available. I also share my MacBook Pro with my iPhone. I have a lot of apps that need updating on my iPhone but am not all that interested in doing so. Hi there,About a week ago, I updated my itunes to 10.2.1. For some reason, I cant see the ipad in itunes any longer when trying to sync. My iPod touch, however, shows up and syncs without problems. I purchased a tv season directly to the ipad. the next time I synched to itunes I got a notification of an OS update - which I naturally selected yes to.
