I have a netgear wifi router and connected the netgear wn2000 range extender to push the wifi upstairs in my home. My iPad detects the extender and shows it on the list of available networks then prompts me to enter the password to connect. The iPad keypad pops up so i can type in the password but no letters will type in the password field. The keypad is working for all other functions such as email and google etc. Is anyone using this netgear range extender and if yes, how did you connect. Any problems entering the password? Thanks! iPad...|connecting-netgear-range-extender-ipad

How far away from my Router can I get and still access the Internet? Does it matter which Router I have? Are there devices out there that increase the range that a portable unit can access my router? I am concerned about a person accessing my router from a distance of @625ft. I do not want to reset my router and encrypt with P/W etc because of upsetting other users in the home. After reading the Princeton and other reports about Apples DHCP implementation, I switched my iPad to a static IP and have not had any problems. The iTunes remote app almost never worked, now works as advertised.Static IPs may be a bit old school and may not work in every environment, but until Apple conforms to a standard DHCP implementation it should work for most home networks. iPad iOS 4...|static-ip-solves-wifi-problems-ipad
