iPad touch screen not working

Result:iPad touch screen not working

It happens that the touch screen stops working properly. The Ipad closes the apps, opens other apps or navigate thorugh the web pages without touching it. I noticed that the situation gets worse when the battery is low and after an utilization of at least one hour.If I turn it off and I turn it on again, the ipad works fine for a while. I got my son an iPad for Christmas. He went through the steps to sync with his PC which included upgrading iTunes. He went from iTunes 8 to the current version. His iPad worked but his iPod touch was no longer recognized by his PC. He gets an unknown device message when he plugs it in. Any ideas how to get both devices to work? Ive noticed a wide range of touch screen sensitivity from one app to another. For example, the New York Times app is exquisitely sensitive to the slightest pressure applied to the screen. But with other apps I sometimes almost have to poke at the screen in order to get a page to load. Is this a function of the quality of the individual apps? Or is there any underlying hardware issue? Thanks in advance. ipad Other OS...|touch-screen-sensitivity-ipad

My iPad worked fine for a few weeks (aside from wi-fi connection issues), but now the screen is frequently unresponsive. I need to repeatedly tap, rub, hold icons for 10-15 seconds before it does anything. At first I thought I just had cold fingers, or the screen was dirty, or something else... But its happening more and more.(Ive been an iPhone user for years, so Im not new to touch screens. This is definitely not normal compared to an iPhone or touch.) iMac (2.0 GHz G5, 1.5 GB RAM) and PowerBook (1.5 GHz G4, 512 MB RAM) Mac OS X (10.5.5)...|unresponsive-touch-screen-ipad

As any of you with kids have probably figured out, kids love touching and playing with the iPad and its a great device for watching cartoons and kids shows. However, if your kids are young enough, they probably cant keep their hands off the screen long enough to make it through an entire cartoon. Is there any App, hack, 3rd-party or otherwise, that I could install to somehow lock or block the touch screen input and/or buttons while a video is playing so that I could leave it in my kids hands with a cartoon playing without him shutting it off? Thanks! Ive had some issues with the touch screen responding while in Safari. Ill touch the URL bar to go to a new site and nothing happens. I cannot scroll, either. Sometimes, when I do get the keyboard to pop up, it doesnt respond, either.I do not have any response issues with the screen in other applications, however, and I was able to quit out of Safari without a problem. The problem seemed to resolve itself when I turned the iPad but has occurred since then. iPad 32GB w/ 3G iPhone OS 3.1.3...|touch-screen-unresponsive-safari-ipad
